I come from a background in journalism, publishing and the social sciences but linguistics and languages are my first love. I am in the interesting position of being an experienced translation project manager as well as a professionally-trained linguist. My inner wordsmith engrosses himself in the nitty-gritty linguistic details of a project, while my inner project manager is constantly mastering new technical skills and thinking of proactive solutions for project issues as they arise (or even before they do).

Qualifications:
• 12+ years of active professional translation and editing experience (since 2011)
• Professional Certificate in Translation (Spanish > English concentration) from NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies
• Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)
• 10 years of project and account management, working mainly with clients in the banking/financial, legal, and marketing verticals
• Experience working with: legal documents, vital records and certificates, terms & conditions, academic transcripts, business strategy and marketing presentations, IT documentation, iPhone/iPad application guides, press releases, banking and home mortgage materials, psychological studies/abstracts
