I am a native speaker of English, and am familiar with medical and biomedical terminology in general, and have specialist knowledge of immunology, cell biology, toxicology and pharmaceutical science, including regulatory issues.

I have a PhD in biomedical science and a postgraduate diploma in library and information science. I have 15 years work experience as a scientist and information specialist, but am now a full-time freelance offering translation, editorial and indexing services. I receive regular commissions to translate hospital discharge reports, regulatory pharmaceutical documentation and biomedical journal articles out of French, German, Spanish, Serbo-Croat, Polish and Slovenian.

Previous experience also includes five years working as a freelance translator during a temporary residence in Zagreb, Croatia. I translated a variety of scientific and library/information science documents from Serbo-Croat and Slovenian into English. I also edited, proofread and abstracted English texts. My clients included several academic journals, a pharmaceutical company, an information centre and numerous individual scientists and students.

As well as offering translation, I have experience in indexing and abstracting material for database records and can prepare book and journal indexes in English on a wide variety of subjects as well as the specialty subjects featured on this profile.

With respect to other interests, I am a published poet in Esperanto (under my previous name of Krys Ungar), and have also written magazine articles in Esperanto on scientific and technical topics. I also have a passionate interest in Egyptology, and am also interested in classical, folk and world music.

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. More information on the changes... Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu? Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together. I cannot find something If you are having trouble finding something with the new menu, please submit a support request.
