This process description is about a machine with a 90° turning angle, one supply position and one removal position.
4.5.1 Container supply
The container turntable can receive a container if it has rotated to the receive position (S04), the rotation is blocked (S19), the container turntable is free (S02) and there is a container ready (S01).
Lateral transport only: the supply is up (S11) and the discharge is down (S12).
The transport chains start and will stop if the container is detected by sensor S02.
4.5.2 Turn container
The container turntable can turn a container if it is in receive position (S04), the rotation is not blocked (S19), there is a container on the container turntable (S02) and the safety sensors before turntable (S01) and after turntable (S03) are not active.
Lateral transport only: the supply is down (S10) and the discharge is down (S12).
The container turntable will now turn anticlockwise or clockwise to the removal position (S06) depending on the door position.

Believe me, the do intersect, all the time. This seems to surprise people in business. I read more and more about ethics and business, courses in business schools, and consultants in ethics, as if the corporate world had finally discovered ethics. Of course, this isn’t true. Relationships in business, like any relationships, need to stand up on ethics scrutiny. When do the ethical beliefs of a leader cross her commitments to an organization? When should a leader’s judgments of right and wrong, of good and bad, impinge on the group of followers?
Other people have written entire books about ethics and business. Not having the qualifications for that, I would simply like to explore ways of reflecting on the interplay of ethics and leadership. One of the ways I deal with this is to remind myself of the question: “To whom do I answer?”
One of the most sacred relationships among teams of people is that between leaders and followers. This relationship, so central and crucial, depends to an extraordinary degree on the clearly expressed and consistently demonstrated values of the leader as seen through the special lens of followers. This is why leadership and ethics are inextricably woven together.
