Bio
As a translator I work mainly with AV content. I do spotting, subtitling, editing, conforming, transcription. I have experience with feature films, documentaries, sitcoms, drama, musicals, advertisement.
I always do a proper research (original vs. local expressions and topic-specific term base), maintain as much of the original, but paraphrase when necessary (No verbatim translation), ensure good knowledge of client guidelines, never take on more work than I will be able to handle within the given deadline.
I have my own professional subtitling software available (SubtitleNext).
Additionally, I specialise in Fashion and Beauty translation and have translated approximately 300.000 words between 2019-2021 in this field. I own a Trados2021 license and have experience with Memsource as well.
In my private life I deal with four different languages on a daily basis and am therefore able to quickly switch between them, which is something that has proven beneficial to my translation work.
