Source text - English The IASB issued IFRS 9 ‘Financial Instruments’ in its final form in July 2014 and is effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2018. IFRS 9 sets out the requirements for recognizing and measuring financial assets and financial liabilities, impairment of financial assets and hedge accounting. This standard replaces IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement.
The Group has determined the Date of Initial Application for IFRS 9 to be 1 January 2018. The classification, measurement and impairment requirements are applied retrospectively by adjusting the opening consolidated statement of financial position at 1 January 2018. The Group will not restate the comparatives as permitted by IFRS 9.
Classification and measurement
The classification and measurement of financial assets will depend on how these are managed (the entity’s business model) and their contractual cash flow characteristics. These factors determine whether the financial assets are measured at amortised cost, fair value through other comprehensive income or fair value through statement of income.
Equity instruments are measured at fair value through profit or loss. However, the Group may, at initial recognition of a non-trading equity instrument, irrevocably elect to designate the instrument as fair value through OCI, with no subsequent recycling to consolidated statement of income. This designation is also available to non-trading equity instrument holdings on date of transition.
The adoption of this standard will have impact on the classification and measurement of Group's financial assets but is not expected to have a significant impact on the classification and measurement of financial liabilities.

Source text - Arabic تستثنى حالات الوفاة من منفعة الحماية التأمينية إذا كانت وفاة الشخص المؤمن عليه ناتجة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة عن أي من الأسباب التالية:
1. في حالة وفاة الشخص المؤمن عليه بصورة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة عن الانتحار أو محاولة الانتحار في السنتين الأولى على بدء سريان التغطية مهما كان وضعه العقلي و/أو النفسي.
2. تعاطي الشخص المؤمن عليه المخدرات على أنواعها كالمورفين أو الكوكايين أو غيرها من المواد المماثلة أو تعاطي الشخص المؤمن عليه المشروبات الروحية بجميع أنواعها أو تعاطي أي نوع من الأدوية أو العقاقير المنومة إلا إذا كانت موصوفة من قبل طبيب مرخص.
3. إعدام الشخص المؤمن عليه تنفيذاً لحكم قضائي.
4. اشتراك الشخص المؤمن عليه في جناية أو في جريمة أو في جنحة مقصودة مخلة بالشرف والأمانة أو تعمد مخالفة القانون وكسر قواعده.
5. استعمال أية وسيلة نقل جوي إلا إذا كان ذلك بصفة راكب على متن طائرات الخطوط التجارية النظامية المعدة رسميا لنقل الركاب جواً أو على متن طائرات نفاثة خاصة مرخص لها رسميا.
6. تحويل تكوين الذرة أو الانشطار النووي أو القوة الإشعاعية.
7. إصابة الشخص المؤمن عليه بمرض نقص المناعة المكتسبة أو الفيروس المسبب له.
تتعهد شركة ------ ويشار إليها فيما بعد بـ"الشركة" بتنفيذ جميع التزاماتها التعاقدية المحددة بموجب شروط وأحكام وجدول مواصفات الوثيقة الأساسية وملاحقها والعقود الإضافية المرفقة بها إن وجدت بشرط تنفيذ المتعاقد و/أو المؤمن عليه التزاماته التعاقدية المحددة بشروط وأحكام وجدول مواصفات الوثيقة وملاحقها والعقود الإضافية المرفقة بها إن وجدت. تم إصدار هذه الوثيقة اعتبارا من تاريخ بدء سريان الوثيقة بناء على ما ورد فيها.
Translation - English Deaths shall be excluded from the benefit of insurance coverage; if the Insured Person’s death is caused, directly or indirectly, by any of the following reasons:
1. If the Insured Person died, directly or indirectly, due to committing suicide or attempting to suicide during the first two years of insurance coverage effectiveness, regardless of his/her mental and/or psychological condition.
2. In cases of substance abuse by the Insured Person, including morphine, cocaine or other similar substances, or any type of alcoholic beverages, or any type of medicine or hypnotic drugs, unless prescribed by a licensed physician.
3. If the Insured Person has been sentenced to death in execution of a judicial judgment.
4. If the Insured Person has been involved in a felony, crime, or intended misdemeanor violating honor and public trust or intentionally violated Law and its rules.
5. Use of any air transport means; only if as a passenger on commercial airline aircrafts officially prepared to transport passengers by air or on officially licensed private jet aircraft.
6. In case of transforming the atom’s formation, nuclear fission or radiation power.
7. If the Insured Person has been infected with HIV/AIDS.
--- Company (“--”) hereby undertakes to implement all its contractual obligations set forth under the basic policy’s terms, conditions and schedule of specifications, its annexes and the additional contracts attached thereto, if any. Provided that, the Contractor/Insured Person should fulfill his contractual obligations specified in the policy’s terms, conditions and schedule of specifications, its annexes and the additional contracts attached thereto, if any. This policy has been issued as of the date of its effectiveness based on what is stated therein.
