I'm curious to know what the results have been since the first premium job was posted in terms of targeting specific translators, the ease with which everything has worked, perhaps some background comments from colleagues who have used this feature, whether there have been any glitches... Also, I have a couple of questions: 1.- Are the premium jobs available to partial members, assuming their profiles have the minimum required information? (yes, this is a self-serving question... I am a new member of proz.com and am trying to make much more of this membership. At my stage, I am busy working on market myself and get myself known. As mentioned above, this campagn is designed for those really serious outsourcers and for those already successful or remakrkable or experieced translators. That means more oppotunities for them. By saying that, I am not offending. I just have to say that this is the truth. I've already known that there should be a long way for a newcomer to make himself as an well - established translator. Proz is known as a big and famous website where translators and outsourcers can choose, evaluate each other and also is remarkable due to its forum and Kudoz. This is why I come here everyday to check if there is anything new I have missed. While it is not sitting here, it is stepping forward by adding some new functions and new services to members and users. It's in the right direction, because of which it should be encouraged. Actually, I really dont know whether this will be lucky to me or bad to me. Hope this will affect me in an positive way. ▲ Collapse | | | angibi Italy Local time: 07:57 English to Italian + ... premium jobs | Jan 25, 2007 |
hello! I just received a message about premium job matching my profile; I think it is very good idea, but unfortunately it was sent yesterday evening, when the job had already been closed, so I had no chance to reply!!!!! Too bad! Anna | |

List of premium job posters | Jan 25, 2007 |
Hi, I welcome the premium job postings news Just a query: is it possible to view the list of premium job posters? It would be interesting to see which specialisation PJP look for. For example, I have not received any for chemical/medical translators, while there are some posted for advertising, for example. Thank you for the continuing support. It's great to be an active part of proz.com! Stefania De Angelis Williams | | | First Posting | Feb 1, 2007 |
I got my first e-mail regarding a premium posting today. Unfortunately it was not really a premium job; the poster even said so (EUR 0.06 per word German to English, only 400 words.) I guess they are trying to test the premium posting system. Since this job would pay EUR 24 (about US $31) and the bank transfer fees on my side alone would be $15, it's not worth replying to. I hope that the system will be developed and provide premium jobs, but this test rea... See more I got my first e-mail regarding a premium posting today. Darin, Great feedback. Thank you. Yes. I am aware of this one test and I am personally introducing this outsourcer to the new platform. You should know the outsourcer was concerned with posting this particular job as premium. I encouraged him to do so this one time in context of a test and given his good Blue Board average. As such, he very clearly framed this real project as a one time-test of the new platform in his posting and communication. ... See more Darin, Great feedback. Thank you. Yes. If you would advise us to do so, we could certainly refrain from such tests in the future. I'd would be happy to discuss or address any questions you or others may have about Project Connect. Please feel free to conact me directly at mike at proz dot com. Thank you again for your perspectives. Keep the feedback coming!
