community management
Wow!
Mi intento de traducción:
In relation to the management report, this provides a significant perspective to understand cultural challenges....
Miro un poco fuera de contexto la palabra manejo.

understanding
I think, in this case, a little undertranslation is better. "Management of understanding" does not really make much sense. I would simply say "offers an important perspective for the understanding of..."

: I forget to enter the "confidence" part. Our anwwers are very similar, and my explanation is basically the same as yours.

: Still think it's a little wordy, but navigation is good!

I also think it is a bit wordy but it doesn't break down well unless one basically replaces the entire phrase, which could be done here without hurting the translation but I just kept the original form

understand
They are going to look at the result and see how the data in the database are causing the results.
In order to manage this they want to better understand how certain outputs and the structure of the database are driving the results. This leads me to consider "drive the understanding" of the challenge rather than "manage the understanding" of the challenge.
However, I think you will find that simply "understand" will work perfectly in this sentence.
"an importance perspective in understanding ..."
I think they are constructing it in a way that specifically draws attention to how the reader can self-formulate their understanding. I think this is quite implicit enough in the suggestion, as "managing" in English will be more likely to be taken as some specific strategy or management effort to structure this understanding.

the handling of the understanding
They are writing a management report, and it seems that different people contribute to the understanding of current challenges.
In this case, database problems have played a significant role in the results, and so the explanation cannot be left solely in the hands of the community development project teams.
"For the purposes of the management report, this contributes a significant perspective to the handling of the understanding of current challenges."
