Discussion

Charles Davis Apr 9, 2015:
Remember that pozo often means (vertical) shaft. I do translations on tunnelling for subway (metro) railway lines, and it comes up all the time.
Charles Davis Apr 9, 2015:
@Robert Your description matches my own apartment, which has a light well (called a patio de luces where I live, but it's the same thing) at one side, surrounded by my property on three sides, the fourth side being the property line with the next block. Mine is square, but my neighbours in my own block have a five-sided light well at the edge of their apartment, one side of which is again a property line.
Robert Forstag (asker) Apr 9, 2015:
Por la derecha: Con propiedad de terceros y pozo de luz no. 2, con una linea quebrada de cinco tramos. ["Skylight" definitely does not fit here.]
Chris Maddux Apr 9, 2015:
I am thinking possibly a skylight but that does not fit what you are saying about the text or a glass room/enclosure connected to the house.
Chris Maddux Apr 9, 2015:
source text? Can we get a bit of the passage with the words included?

light well

Might the above be a possibility in your context?
Peer comment(s):

agree Wendy Streitparth : Yes, my thought too, but it seems a little strange on the boundary.

Indeed, but I guess it might be possible.

agree Charles Davis : Perfectly possible. Indeed, my flat in Spain has one of these, bounded by my property on three sides with the fourth being the property line with the next finca. Perfectly standard. (I can see it through the window as I write this!)

Note from asker:
Perhaps "courtyard" does fit here.... Thank you.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Wendy Streitparth : The pozo de luz described here is a light well. See last photo and building plan.

source of light

Since the "linea quebrada" is in "cinco tramos", maybe the light comes flooding through between the sections.
