Why would you use MRI to carry out an electromyography ("efectomeliegráfico por resonancia magnética")?
However, I believe, but not certain about this, one would measure the "myelographic effect" by MRI:
"Among the T2-weighted sequences, the FSE technique provided better image quality than did the CSE technique, but lesion visibility was improved only with a repetition time/echo time of 2500/90; parameters of 3000/150 provided poor lesion contrast but ****the best myelographic effect*** and overall image quality."
https://www.google.es/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd...
The examination should be performed using thin sections and high resolution. Spinal MRI should include imaging sets obtained in the axial and sagittal planes using T1-weighted, proton-density, and T2-weighted techniques. ***In addition pulse sequences that provide high signal from cerebrospinal fluid (myelographic effect) help delineate epidural pathological processes such as disc fragments and osteophytes**** [16].
http://www.hindawi.com/journals/aorth/2012/908324/
T1-weighted axial images provide anatomical images similar to CT scans, and the myelographic effect of cerebrospinal fluid on T2-weighted images shows the extent and degree of stenosis throughout the entire lumbar spine.

Rather than "measure the myelographic effect" best said "observe".

It may fit in better with your source text if you use "myelographic sequences" (see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/medical_health_... However, FWIW, it gets less hits than "effect".

: Is it possible you've misunderstood it too? It's electro, not efecto, surely

Because the source says "efecto meliegráfico" not "electromiografia". efecto/electro, "melie- / mio". So a more pertinent question might be "Why would it be electromyelography [or do you mean "electromyography"?]"? // Not sure, but I think it's "effect"

electromyography
It's a typo. They meant "mielográfico", electromyography in English.

Thank you, Phil. The original document had quite a few mistakes, so there could very easily have been more than one misspelling... |

: A couple of misspellings would have to be involved. "efecto >> electro", "gráfico >> gráfia", I think the asker will know from other context. Another problem would be "electromyelography performed by MRI"<>"efectomeliegráfico por resonancia magnética",no?
