In light of this, if you confirm ZZZ is open to settlement, we recommend we make the first move and set expectations. Before doing this it would be helpful if you could provide us with some initial indications as to the figure the client has in mind, as well as the lower amount they would be willing to accept to close the case. Please, keep in mind that they will not be able to recover full damages (which would need to be substantiated) in settlement. Indeed, we would expect XXX to be available to contribute to reasonable legal costs (for example the costs that would be awarded by the Court in case ZZZ succeeds in the action and that can roughly be estimated in the range of Euro ___).
