I am not sure about "l'haleine fraîche"! It could be "haleine parfumée...(au whisky) ou n'importe quoi d'approchant!

: breathy means that when she speaks, a lot of air escapes along with the sound. not a firm tone of voice. Ab-fab dressing can mean outlandish (if one thinks of Edwina)./Marilyn Monroe sometimes spoke with a breathy voice :-)
