This comes from an elemental analysis:
"Fastbrændt kulstof på overfladen."
I originally translated it simply as 'burnt carbon', but later updated this to 'burnt-on carbon', but is there a scientific term for this? At the moment it just sounds like I've left fish fingers in the oven for too long.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
