C'è una discrepanza tra l'espressione che costituisce la domanda (stainless clad steel) e quella presente poi nel testo. Immagino che quella corretta sia quest'ultima, che io interpreto così: è la lega di alluminio e magnesio ad essere rivestita di acciaio inossidabile.
In altre parole, "stainless steel clad" è un qualificativo di "aluminum and magnesium alloy". E il tutto va a costituire i nuovi tipi di materiali.
