Interests are recognized periodically and proportionally as the respective revenue is generated *on an accountancy engagement basis*.

In fact I did translate it "on accrual basis", but what confused me is that the term "accrual basis" was used earlier in the text and a different term is used in this paragraph.

on an accrual basis In Romanian, accrual accounting is called "contabilitate de angajament", which literally translates to accounting of engagements/commitments.

Perhaps something is wrong because the text is a translation into English from another source language.

@Florance. accountancy engagement usually refers to the hiring of an accountant or accounting firm. Is your text about the income of an accountant or an accounting firm?
