rebuilt salvage title
In Ohio, if an auto is deemed 'salvage' by a insurance company, meaning ruined beyond the ability to repair it against the value of the vehicle, the owner must file for a 'salvage' title within 30 days.
If the owner, or any new owner *rebuilds* the vehicle, then they must apply for a 'rebuilt salvage' title, which includes a process of showing the receipts of the repair and other information that proves that the vehicle is safe to be on the road. This title designation also includes a vehicle that has been rebuilt in such a way so as not to resemble the original vehicle at all - in either case, a vehicle that has had a 'salvage title' can never have any other type of title thereafter besides a 'rebuilt salvage' title, regardless of how great the rebuilding may be. It is a 'buyer beware' law, and protects the buyer and their insurers from unsafe or altered vehicles.
The URL included is very informational and specific about this issue
What it does not call the title is 'replacement'. Is it possible that the word 'rebuilt' is what you mean?

: it could be a salvaged replacement file or a salvaged replacement part, equipment or something similar.

Thank you, Gary. This is a very specific designation for a vehicle title type. Most states have similar laws so a vehicle that has been wrecked is identified. All vehicles are listed in a searchable database by VIN, reporting the title type. No secrets!

Note from asker:
There is no more context:( This is the full document title. |
There is usually "Ohio Certificate of Title; State of Ohio; Original" but now we have "Ohio Certificate of Title; State of Ohio; Salvage replacement" and next we have all information about a vehicle |
