It seems this is the OFFICIAL US preference. I suppose it depends on the client. I do not think Argentine could ever be wrong in a US context, anyway.

It depends whether the text is Am,erican or British.
In England only "Argentinian" is used.
In America mostly "Argentine" is used.
So the choice of the word strictly depends on the context.
If this is an official American document then only "Argentine" has to be used.
If this is a British document then it is better to use "Argentinian".
