Let’s examine how Vivienne Cox acquired her vision. Her prior role had been to run BP’s oil and gas trading operation according to clear-cut, BP-specified performance indicators and planning pro-cesses. In her new role, she had to decide what to do about all the bits and pieces of alternative-energy business that had sprouted around the edges of the organization and see if they might fit together.
Does "oil and gas trading operation" mean a branch/arm (of BP) dealing only with selling (not extraction) of oil and gas?
