Вообще-то никакой опечатки тут нет, хотя обычно говорят о зоне, недоступной для радиосигнала (no-course signal zone), впрочем, в соответствии с правилом исключенного третьего разница непринципиальная. Равносигнальная же (equisignal)зона - естественно, та,в которой сигналы от двух курсовых маяков равны по мощности. Смысл всего фрагмента ясен из нижеследующего:

Except when very close to the transmitting station, the minimum or null is not sufficiently sharp to read. There may be several degrees through which, as the loop is turned, the signal volume is either inaudible or a minimum. This inaudible zone is usually known as the, split. In this case the loop is turned in both directions, just beyond the minimum zone, where the signal intensity is judged to be equal.
