On second thought, in the US "numbers" is redundant. Seems like all state lotteries, Powerball etc. are numbers lotteries.

Thank you. While it is colloquial, we need to be careful with it - in the US this is what a part of illegal gambling is called too - "running numbers"

neutral Dorene Cornwell : In the US "numbers games"have other shadier connotations so I would be careful about it and probably use another term in this context.
