Spanish term

Queda hecho el depósito que marca la Ley

Spanish to English Art/Literary Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright Copyright
I know that this was asked in 2005 but I am not too convinced by the answer.
What is the correct legal translation of this expression in English?
Thanks for your help.

Discussion

Henry Hinds Sep 22, 2006:
Now, depending on the CONTEXT of your translation, unknown to us, you could consider the appropriateness of using one of the contributions presented, any other you might come up with, or just simply "Copyrighted".
Henry Hinds Sep 22, 2006:
"Copyrighted" is what is used in English. "Queda hecho el depósito que marca la Ley" is a phrase used in Argentina referring to the fact that copies of a work are filed. One is not the translation of the other, although functionally they are equivalents.
Sarah Brenchley (asker) Sep 22, 2006:
Thanks to both of you but I wasn't convinced by either. There must be a common used English equivalent for this common Spanish expression which appears.
