My father and I are film noir buffs, and every now again we take out the old Irish rebel classic, Odd Man Out. Dislikes: Austin Powers, for sure, and slasher and horror flicks, which is a drag because my birthday is Oct 21, so going to the cinema is never an option; but to me, when I think stinker, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (I believe that's how it goes) has got to take the cake Nancy ▲ Collapse | | | Amy Duncan (X) Brazil Local time: 16:55 Portuguese to English + ... Many years ago (at least 30) I saw this Russian film: Derza Uzlu. I would love to see it again, but maybe the magic would be lost. Of course Audrey Hepburn in Charade made me want to be an interpreter, if only to look and dress like her. I'm not - and I don't.

I also like "Party" - "Do you speak Hindostani?" "Fedora" by Billy Wilder "The Life of Brian" by Monthy Python "Funny Games" by Michael Haneke It such a big topic, we could talk for years about it, discussing different aspects. I look every week at least one new film (besides TV). | | | Off to Netflix... | May 18, 2007 |

I drop everything when there's an opportunity to see it again. Wow, lexical, you've just sent me to my Netflix queue. Gotta see The Third Man again. Guilty pleasures department: Unlike so many of you, I loved Silence of the Lambs! Beautifully constructed and written, outstanding acting, suspenseful, an amazing intellectual puzzle. I have no interest in the subsequent Hannibal Lecter movies; without Jody Foster and the intricate relationship between her character and Hopkins's, there's no attraction; I didn't watch the original for the cannibalism. And I swore I wouldn't add any more to my list, but I have to: The Crying Game | | | Classic Westerns | May 18, 2007 |

Casablanca is one of my favorite movies and so are Kurosawa's works such as Ikiru, Rasyomon and Seven Samurai. When I was in my late teen's and early twenties, I used to go to the movies almost twice a week.... Now my two boys in their early teens go to the movies almost every two weeks. Me? I have to stay in my office because of a pile of work. | | | diana bb Lithuania Local time: 22:55 English to Lithuanian + ... My favourites | May 19, 2007 |
