1. Shiraz Kabab Cafe in SW Miami
2. John Martin's on Miracle Mile/Coral Way in Coral Gables Gables (within Miami)

Thank you. Nabil
Note; I am still waiting for the organizer Teresa Lopez to either contact me or post her number so we can coordinate on this gathering...

Shiraz Blues Apr 12, 2005

1- Dear Teresa, we suggested and then voted on the time and location of the powwow and everything is set, but as the organizer, you are the one who should check the place personally and see to it if the place is big enough for our -/+ 20 person meeting, if the owner agrees with setting one looooong table for all of us that day and if the place is available at all for 30th. Please let us know if it's all set and done. (Please book 2 seats for me! Thanks!)

2- You've suggested "The aims and goals of us as translators" as the theme of the meeting. We'll surely talk about that, but more or less our goals are the same!! We already are translators, so we've kinda passed that stage of discussing the goals. Now it's time for action!

We are coming together to meet and to be there for each other. To know how we can help one another professionally and LEARN more. So I suggest each one of us make a list of questions s/he has about translation related matters, i.e. pricing, CAT tools, non-payments, etc. Or if not "questions", just the topics one is interested in hearing more discussions about. Or as Teresa would put it: "Let's discuss how to facilitate and smoothen the path to fulfil our dreams of reaching our goals and aims as translators and interpreters!"

p.s. Apr 12, 2005

"The list of questions/ topics" can be in our minds or on the paper. It can be posted before the meeting on this page to let people think and find answers to it or can be asked and discussed at the powwow. I just meant this meeting is a place to learn from one another, so make the questions ready!
