Not sure about "individuos" in this particular sentence. Are they talking about human individuals or individual alleles? Thoughts?

It means people (or in theory other organisms) who have this genetic characteristic. "Individuos" as a noun must means that.

: notwithstanding the rather detailed explanation, grammatically it is pretty much obvious that the attributes "homocigotos o dobles heterocigotos" qualify the noun individuos, hence individuals
