The terminology does not appear to be standard, so it might be a (metal) sandwich panel, but 'toile' is unlikely in that case.
Another possibility is a foil-cushion roof. This involves two layers of what is called fabric in the industry, even if it is a transparent plastic : ETFE. Two layers of it are heat sealed around the edges and kept permanently inflated (surpressé). Supported by roof framing, it is a modern solution for roofing large areas.

Quant à "laminer", ce n'est pas la même chose que laminate (EN) / lamininieren (DE) mais un terme de métallurgie (to roll/walzen). Je trouve qu'il est toujours hasardeux de proposer des traductions entre deux langues étrangères sauf à être LE grand spécialiste du sujet.

(pour info il s’agit d’une immense tente événementielle dont le toit est constitué de 2 toiles cirées, séparées par un coussin d’air pour permettre l’isolation de la structure)
