The kind of question where I could do with a Catalan who has been through the process of transferring from one university to another. I see two ways of interpreting it. It could either be that on that the deadline day for applications is also the deadline day for paying, or it could be that presenting an application means they will have to pay at some point. But then it could be neither solution. I'm really not sure.

It seems to be the standard term for \"you have to pay for something\" - check the term on Google and you\'ll see what I mean. However, I also see what you mean and I prefer your seperate sentence to \"implications\". In fact, I understood the original to be referring to students who would have to pay a penalty precisely because they were submitting their application in a way that was different to the standard method. More and more offices are covering their admin costs this way, sadly. Good luck with it.
