Aktivoverdragelseaftale

Danish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
I am revising an "Aktivoverdragelseaftale" where the translator has translated as "Share Transfer Agreement" - yet then bangs on about the transfer of assets (which is what aktiver are). Surely it should therefore be an "Asset Transfer Agreement" - or is there some intricate reason why it might be the former?

You? ... Dopey? ... Never A quick look on Google shows that Asset Transfer Agreement is a pretty common thing, and recognised term, so I would go for that. Not worth making an entry here, I don't think.

Easy enough to make Yes, I suspect it's just an error - I agree, it looks very much like "aktie". I was just concerned that it was me being dopey.

Looks like a mistake was made At first glance, even I read this as Aktieoverdragsaftale, so I think it might be a mistake on the part of the translator. I would go back to the client and see what they think. They'll probably get in touch with the translator for clarification.
