drop shipping Just to clarify- drop shipping is what takes place when a retailer wants to sell an item, but does not want to stock it on their shelves. This has become very widespread. You order an item from a retailer (like Amazon), you pay them, and they send the order to whoever actually has the merchandise. They are then required to pack and ship it to you, the retailer takes a cut of the price, and then pays the shipper for the items and shipping costs. Maybe "Drops" is a brand name, but it is also applied to millions of little items.It is a way that anyone can get into the market, as the retailer only needs to provide some minimal information, and maybe a small photo, but does not have to risk purchasing stock, and possibly not being able to sell it.
