For the bridges a backup card is built into each bridge for when we have a component failure. In the event of a hardware failure, equipment will automatically switch to the backup device for the duration of the outage. This is possible because we have Dual MPLS circuits in place into each collocation. This is a fully automated mechanism whereby traffic will immediately re-route across the backup circuit in the event of failure on the primary circuit. This solution ensures connectivity to the core from all entry points on the CCP solution.
