Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Aug 22, 2004:
FYI, its original sentence in German is Die Aufgabe von Anzeigen bei secondCASA ist für das Jahr 2004 kostenlos und unverbindlich.
Non-ProZ.com Aug 22, 2004:
Thank you, Aniello. Another sentence from the website reads: Advertisments can be placed at secondCASA at no charge and at no obligation in 2004. Do you think the use of no charge and at no obligation is tautological?
Aniello Scognamiglio (X) Aug 21, 2004:
OK. In the info box it says "We will send you the latest news to the selected e-mail address", it also says "FREE registration"!
Non-ProZ.com Aug 21, 2004:
This is from the website of www.secondcasa.de.
Aniello Scognamiglio (X) Aug 21, 2004:
Yes, that's the way I understand it without any further context.
Non-ProZ.com Aug 21, 2004:
Thank you, Aniello. Does it mean you don't need to pay for subscribing to this newsletter or you don't need to buy anything advertised in the newsletter?
Non-ProZ.com Aug 21, 2004:
Thank you, Johannes, can you provide your explanation in English? I am sorry I don't understand German. I provided German text so that the English question can be better understood.
Aniello Scognamiglio (X) Aug 21, 2004:
Let's help right on the spot (unbrokratisch):-)
no-obligation= you are not forced to buy anything!
Steffen Walter Aug 21, 2004:
Why the question? You've got both versions (EN and DE) in front of you. However, if you require an English definition of a "no-obligation news service", you should change the language pair to English monolingual (EN-EN).
Aniello Scognamiglio (X) Aug 21, 2004:
Do you need the German translation? English-German?

agree Aniello Scognamiglio (X) : Na*c*hrichtendienst!
