Discussion

Malina Alexandra Pricop Jan 22, 2012:
I completely agree. That was also the translation I proposed in the answer explanation.
Hope Farmer Jan 22, 2012:
Execution I am an SQL DB administrator as well as a translator: You execute SQL statements. The term in the source text is "Absetzung" which is a noun, so the correct translation is "execution". However, in this context, a gerund is more appropriate. The translation would be: "... have to be considered when executing a create database statement".
Supriya Vaidya (asker) Jan 18, 2012:
Malina, following is the exact sentence :

"Sicherheitskritische Parameter und Optionen sind bei der Absetzung eines create database statements zu berücksichtigen."
Malina Alexandra Pricop Jan 18, 2012:
Could be "issue" or "execute"... Depends on the entire context. Maybe you could provide the entire phrase?

German term (edited): Absetzung (richtig Absetzen)
Selected

execute

According to your context and my research, I think "Absetzung" is used incorrectly here and it should be "Absetzen" instead.

In this case, it would translate to "execute", as in "Safety-critical parameters and options must be taken into account when executing a CREATE DATABASE statement."

As posted, I am not 100% sure though.

by the cancellation of a SQL statement
