I assume this covers employment which is less than full time but excludes, for example, evening work as a barman. "Part-time employed" does not seem right to me.

: Frosty: Cilian is right - you must have Googled without quotation marks, so got every single ref. to employment there is, while C. googled for "predominantly in employment" and got refs. to the whole phrase only (I still think it's an OK phrase).

what he means is that not part-time 1 or 2 hour employment, but his employment extends much more than the conventionally permissible limit which will entitle him to apply for the student accommodation
