German term

Siedlungs- und Verkehrsfläche

Homework / test German to English Social Sciences Geography
Does anybody out there know of a better translation than this:

residential and circulation area

To give you some context, this appears in a report which is discussing the population development in the "Vogtlandkreis"

Thanks

agree Derek Gill Franßen : Yes, but I would use "residential areas and traffic infrastructure" - two terms used very often in urban planning.

There may be a more technical name for "Verkehrsfläche", but in this case, they are basically talking about roads.

is certainly what I'd call them; and so did the translator of the item on the site below:
"Environment Barometer for Germany Soil
... for edificial and undeveloped areas, including about: 24 % for residential areas and; 28 % for non-residential use,. 39 % or 17,118 km² traffic areas; 6.9 % or ..."
