German term

Ostseitenklima, Westseitenklima

German to English Marketing Geography Klimazonen
Aus einer Liste von Klimazonen in einem Marketing Fragebogen

Die Zonene scheinen in Englisch anders gegliedert zu sein, ich kann keine Entsprechung finden.

Kennt sich jemand damit aus.

Hier ist der Kontext:

Mittelmeerklima, **Westseitenklima** (im Winter feucht)
**Ostseitenklima** "Shanghai-Klima" (im Sommer feucht oder immer feucht)

Vielen Dank!

Yes, I had thought about "eastern, western" and "eastside, westside" but could find no English references.
@John: So you'd think it is safe enough to leave out the second, synonymous definition? Thanks

See links

"Ostseitenklima" is defined as "sub-tropical climate", while "Westseitenklima" is used as a synonym for "Mediterranean climate". In your example, I think "Mittelmeerklima, Westseitenklima" are used synonymously, as are "Ostseitenklima,Shanghai-Klima"

I think you'd be safe to use "Mediterranean" and "Sub-tropical".

Yes, I think it\'s probably safe to treat them as synonyms - unless anybody out there konws different!
