Terms and Conditions
Dear all,
The above sentence appears under the "Consequences of Revocation".
The whole German paragraph is as follows:
"Widerrufsfolgen
Wertersatz leisten."
Is this translation correct? I am not sure I got the meaning right.
"There shall be no obligation to replace used items or their value"
Thank you in advance,
Mariana

No obligation ...
There is no obligation to render compensation for use of the goods or for the value of such use.
Consequences of return:
If the right of return is effectively exercised, the goods/payments received on both sides shall be returned/refunded and any usage drawn from such (e.g. advantages of use) surrendered. If the goods are in any way degraded, compensation can be demanded, even if the degradation has arisen from putting the object to its designated use. This does not apply, however, if the degradation of the item can be attributed exclusively to its being inspected – as would be possible for you to do in a shop, for instance. Otherwise, you can avoid the obligation to provide compensation by not putting the item to use as an owner and by refraining from doing anything that would impair its value. If you make use of your right of return, the purchase contract is rendered invalid.
There is no right of return for goods that have been manufactured to customer specification or are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the customer.

Or more elegantly: The buyer is under no obligation to compensate for the use of the goods or for the value of such use.
