I think the wording has been compressed somewhat - the Richtfunktrupp will be the radio vehicle (Google for Richtfunktrupp or Funktrupp and you'll readily get some pictures), so it's really the vehicle's equipment that is being set up and dismantled, rather than the vehicle itself.
