The Bildrechte are legitimate (before the law), not some bogus concoction. That's how it sounds to me, since not everything that 'exists' is legitimate.

It does strike me almost superfluous, however, to insert a clause about the mere existence of the rights (although this is indeed the most obvious translation and you never do know in the legal world), which is why I decided to go with legitimacy."
