German term

abrufen

German to English Marketing Printing & Publishing Terms of Service

What does "abrufen" really stand for in this case? To me, it sounds like 'cancellation', but then shouldn't it be Abbestellung or Rücknahme?? I don't see how the generic "call-up" fits in. The second sentence points more toward the ad being on "standby" for [eventual] publication. All comments appreciated.

release

This is how I understand it:
If you purchase several advertisements, you may release them for publication one by one (depending on the agreement). But they should be released within the calendar year in which the contract was made.
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I think the implication is "called down", ie they're there waiting to be used.
