German term

Massebuch

German to English Law/Patents Real Estate Notarization of transfer of residential property / escrow account
This is related to the notary establishing an escrow account (Notar-Anderkonto) for the conveyance of real property (in Germany).

In this deed, after laying down some particulars of how the transaction is going to be executed, and cautioning the parties about the implications, we find the following sentence:

"XXX erklären sich damit einverstanden, dass das Notar-Anderkonto nach Erledigung der Verwahrung durch Übersendung einer Ablichtung des *Massebuches* an beide Parteien abgerechnet wird."

So I guess this is some kind of ledger/record balance/balance sheet(?), a photocopy of which is presented to both parties as a settlement to account for the deposited funds -- but I would like to know whether there's an established term.

I've found some indications here and there as to the possible translations, but nothing really conclusive -- so I would be grateful for any suggestions!

Which I am ... ... going to do :-] Have a nice Sunday, Kim, and thanks again.

You can always take Kieran's input to the bank.

So ... ... after seeing that "Massenbuch"(sic) is the real term, not "Massebuch" (sorry, but this version of the term is used in my orig. document throughout), and looking this up again, I find the following:

Should I consider the matter closed?

Kim, do you agree with this earlier answer? It looks reasonable, and British English is what I'm actually looking for.

At any rate, a thousand thanks to you Kim for putting me on the right track!

Yes, there are about 800 Googlies for Massebuch and 15,000 for Massenbuch.
Note from asker:
Oops, so it's Massenbuch (plural), which might explain why I haven't found more on this. -- This whole document is very useful, thanks a lot, Kim.
