Discussion

Francis Lee (X) Apr 7, 2005:
Well, it definitely should be "AusSchreitungen". But do you mean this sentence appears completely on its own? Surely some sort of context is available?
Non-ProZ.com Apr 6, 2005:
Sorry I have taken so long to reply - I've been asleep. It is written with just one "s" in the original and, unfortunately, there are no other details. :-)
Francis Lee (X) Apr 6, 2005:
Most likley it is indeed "riots", but are there any more details, i.e. is this a few dozen kids throwing plastic bottles at the police, or are they overturning cars and blowing up petrol stations?
MMUlr Apr 6, 2005:
Au*s*schreitungen, pls. :-)

disturbances

Francis is right: more details would be *very* helpful. If you don't have them, "disturbances" might be the safest option - it would include serious rioting but wouldn't be 'over the top' if the incidents being described were relatively minor.

agree Francis Lee (X) : and that would indeed be the likely other option

Ouch-striding

Love you all! :-)
