I wholeheatedly agree with the pretext of your comment Mårten, but unfortunately the body of the text is totally unrelated as it is based in the arcane world & language of cranes.

My question is entirely incidental to the remainder of the text. It may have been a gold mine in Bolivia, a landfill in the Phillipines, or the methodology of laying tar on motorways across the EU.

The only thing that I can add is that it has something to do with overhead bridge cranes.
I remember having a lot of fun with them at a bulk steel retailer in Stockholm a few years back.
