Aloe - Plants of the genus Aloe (family Lilaceae), such as Aloe vera. Used in the manufacture of foods, beverages, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic products due to their characteristic flavour, aroma and biological activity (attributed mainly to the presence of aloins).
