Spanish term

pensamiento libre

"Pensamiento libre

Silencio es oscuro vacío
ue necesito romper
Luz son mis palabras
Nadie me hará enmudecer

...

free thoughts

I think your idea of "free thoughts" works if later you switch to "thoughts are free"
why not?

Thanks, I don't know if I deserve the points - unless they're for contributing to the second part...But if you choose to let me keep them, I'm more than thankful!!

To think is free

The only rendition I can think of that seems the right poetic register

OR does it mean(my) thoughts are free i.e. not constrained ?
Peer comment(s):

agree Deborah Workman : I think either or both, but more so the second. To preserve the meter, I'd suggest, "My thoughts they are free".

unfettered/unshackled/unchecked thoughts

I think that the sense of the particular freedom (ie, unrestrained) indicated here lies in these 2 lines:

el pensamiento es libre (siempre es testigo),
el pensamiento es libre (nunca es mendigo),

For these lines, you could if you wished change it to, eg: "thoughts as free as the air", depending on the rhythm required
Peer comment(s):

agree Silvia Brandon-Pérez : I like yours best, except that you need something different for the title.

Free thinking (for the title); thought is free

Thought is free, en otras palabras. O como dice Carol, unfettered.
