duty to request information
My understanding is that the court is not required to request information if the party is represented by legal counsel.
4. Other Duties of the Court and the Parties
Although it is up to the parties to provide the Court with the factual background of their dispute, the Court has the duty to request clarification from the parties if their pleadings are unclear, incomplete or lacking precision (richterliche Fragepflicht).31
The parties to a civil proceeding have the duty to tell the truth and to act in good faith.32 More particularly, they are prohibited from pursuing frivolous claims and from delaying the proceedings or hindering the other party’s attempts to submit evidence.

right to question/right to request further information
This is a right in civil law in Switzerland, but I'm not absolutely certain how it translates. It could refer to the right to question or cross-examine in Court or it could refer to the right to ask written questions during the pleadings phase (prior to a hearing).
If it is the latter, English legalese uses the term "to request further information" (Civil Procedure Rules Part 18). This would be used for example if a part filed a pleading such as a defence, and the other party requested further information in order to properly understand it.
I hope this is of some help!

: Fragepflicht is not a right but a duty/obligation to request information.

: "Pflicht" and "Recht" are so different that I have to disagree with this one.
