As you can see, very little context. It comes after the reception on the first day of the conference. Is this like "acknowledgements" or "thanks" or am I mistaken? I really appreciate your suggestions, especially when it's late (at least in Europe) and Sunday. Thanks in advance. Oh, Spanish Sp to Eng UK

I used to be a member of the Barcelona Olympic Committe and this is how we used to refer to the "acreditaciones", i.e. an Id card with your personal details and the date of the event you were allowed entrance to (in our case, ALL events!).

Even though this question was asked in August, 2008, thanks Andy. And yes, once of my projects was actually in the MPC at Montjuich, Barcelona.

Kate..
this is perhaps hairbrained but it's the only thing that makes sense to me. It MIGHT be "acknowledgements, as you say..but shouldn't they be made during the attendees' welcome reception rather than afterwards?

Just a thought.
Luck:-))

My pleasure to help, Kate:-)
Well, I did say it was a "hairbrained" [very appropriate, in my case..jajaja] suggestion but your comment about "inscripciones" coming afterwards would tend to nullify my suggestion.
Maybe it is just "acknolwedgemnets, after all!!
Here's a link, if it helps:

Note from asker:
Hi Terry thank so much for your help so far, really grateful. The only thing is that later we have "inscripciones" which I think is when they register or sign up for things... As for aknowledgements or thanks, you may be right that it would make more sense for that kind of thing to be included in the opening ceremony, or reception. :)
