Spanish term

“calidades de provincia”.

Spanish to English Marketing Marketing
Y que no sean la chapuza de siempre, pues las personas están cansadas de “calidades de provincia”.

the meaning of the term is that people are tired of poor quality that is associated with areas outside of big cities. Is there a UK or english equivalent?

well more a service... 'translation' as it happens :) And I suppose it doesn't mean 'poor quality' but rather a lesser quality than that which you may find in big cities. 'Bog standard' seems a pretty good suggestion.

Hi Wil - are they referring to a specific product?

Hmmm, on second thoughts - this doesn´t really mean that the quality is poor, just ordinary.

mediocre quality

The impression that I get is that the product doesn't quite meet, or just barely meets an acceptable standard. Anyway, it is another option.
