orza de labio apestañado

Spanish to English Other Archaeology
Hello. From a magazine article on an archeological site in northern Spain. It's some kind of 16th-Century ceramic receptacle:

"Orza de labio apestañado para almacenamiento y cocina. Se caracteriza por presentar un labio apestañado y un asa tipo cinta decorado con dedadas."

Thanks for your help :)

ceramic/earthenware jar with folded over lip

The fourth image down is an orza - a ceramic or earthenware jar of the shape used for keeping conserves in (hence, I presume, chorizo a la orza etc).
The labio apestañado is the top rim which has a folded over lip. Unfortunately I can't find an image where this is clear in an orza, so here is one of another object, this time of glass: http://images.google.es/imgres?imgurl=http://www.ancienttouc... (sixth image down).

I am sure there is an appropriate technical term, but at least this should point you in the right direction.

Do you have an image to find out if it's earthenware of ceramic?

Two-handled spouted pots were common vessels made for posset, a

that was popular in the 17

century as a delicacy and as a remedy for colds. The sloppy
concoction was partially spooned out and partially sucked through the spout.
The origins of European mayólica lie within Spain. Spanish mayólica became, for a
time, one of the world’s most coveted ceramics. Prized for its aesthetic qualities,
mayólica also acts as a visual history. Encoded in its colorful forms and lusters, we find
evidence of Spain’s early encounter with the Islamic world, her later alliance with the
Christian world, and her political and economic ties with northern Europe and the
Mediterranean world. Elements of daily life in Spain -- diet, cuisine, costume and
custom are also revealed. Mexico transformed this ceramic art form to reflect its distinct
and vibrant culture
