The point is that you do not translate the word any differently just because the writer chose to begin his piece thus.
As you can see, the passage is written in a conversational style, using the voice of someone engaged in an emotional argument. Not only are the sentences short, but they are disjointed. The first sentence is not really the first sentence. It is not even a full sentence. It is supposed to give the impression of being a continuation of a thought, not the beginning of it -- as if the reader eavesdropped on the discussion while it was already in progress.
If you translate the word any other way -- by way of circumventing this abrupt beginning -- you lose everything the writer meant to create.

فالكلمة سواء بالعربية أو الإنجليزية تبقي المعنى ناقصا ما لم يأت بعدها أو قبلها تبرير ما
ولأنني أعرف السياق السابق لها لم أستغرب وجودها في النص الذي بين يدي، لولا أنه بدا بالعربية مبهما، خصوصا أنه أساسا منقول إلى الإنجليزية من لغة أخرى.
ولذلك أردت أن تطمئن نفسي باستشارة الخبراء."
