Spanish term

capacidad de horizonte de carrera global

Spanish to English Social Sciences Human Resources Professional Development
My text is the transcript of a speech (and thus rather stream of consciousness at times) given during some internal seminars organized by a multi-national. The subject is the need for training in the right areas.

Here's the full sentence: "Yo comentaba antes con xxx y con yyy, creo que ese desarrollo profesional es la base para que la gente esté motivada, ponga interés en todo lo que hace por esa *capacidad de horizonte de carrera global*. This is the end of the paragraph.

As you can see, for starters we are up against the fact that it is not actually a finite sentence. This is not uncommon in transcripts of course, and is indeed frequent in this one, so I've had to leave plenty of senteces half-finished already.

Spanish from Spain, and preferably to British English please.

Thanks everyone. I still feel we've probably got some misplaced adjectives in this sentence!

horizontal capacity for a global career

I've looked for links, but I only find separate ones for "horizontal capacity" and "global career". However, I think the speaker is trying to use these terms to express a huge capacity for seeing their future overall career.

seeing (and realizing) their overall career prospects

I would suggest ...
Note from asker:
For once we are really talking about global, since this is a company that has become much more global in the last few years. Otherwise I too tend to use overall in favour of global. Sorry I hadn't given you this much context David.

potential for a career with global horizons

or the promise of a career with global horizons

That's what it says to me, anyway.
