literally I suppose it's "collective bargaining in the corridor" but, given the other two examples, it seems less bartering between unions and management than general give and take of discussion. Although an Americanism, I think that "water cooler" is now generally accepted in UK, but you might prefer something more British: cabals in corridors? group discussions on the landings?

agree Evans (X) : I agree that "water cooler" is widely used in the UK now, probably due to the influence of American TV shows, not so sure about conferences though. I think maybe something less formal such as "water-cooler chatter" might work better.

Thanks. "Conferences" seems to convey some of the (¿ironic?) formality of "negociaciones colectivas"--it's not "cotilleo" or "charla"--but "water-cooler chatter" has quite a nice ring with the three words ending in "-er"!
