cursory neurological examination within the norm
or my other suggestion would be "no gross neurological deficit:"
Example sentence:
In an attempt to assess potential adverse effects from the phenytoin, I was in the room, performing a cursory neurological examination.
Note from asker:
Thanks. I was wondering whether this refers to a rough (orientačné)/guideline neurological examination. "Cursory" makes sense here. |

OK - in this context then the first bit means what I put, and the second phrase is what Misha says - you might also want to look at this http://www.proz.com/kudoz/german_to_english/medical_general/...

Note from asker:
Thanks. The previous line of text says "pri vedomí, orientovaný ...". I wonder whether the phrase "neurologicky orientačne v norme" adds very much. |
Peer comment(s):

Martin Kura
: "orientačne" has nothing to do with orientation here, but "approximately". The word order often varies in medical reports in Slovak, as the doctors are not good linguists

yes - I realise that now - this refers to 'pri vedomi - orientovany ...'

Neurological findings grossly intact
This will keep Slavo happy. It means 'about normal', but in more medical terms :)

Yes, I'm taking both words as adverbs, but in the light of what I have found by googling (e.g. "... bol orientačne neurologicky vyšetrený), I wonder if there's a special way of wording this in English.
It s "neurologicky orientačne" and not "neurologický orientačne"
